Well I am finally going to do this.Been saying I would for years.I missed writing down so many moments.Lucky us we have many more still to come.
Our twins turned 8 April 5. I look at them and wonder how my 4 pound baby's look so grown up now. They are about to finish the 2nd grade. Its been a tough year for them. The schools program is outrageous and they cram so much into their brains, the kids are overwhelmed. My girls are doing times tables and dividing in second grade. I wasn't doing that till the fifth grade!! They are great readers and spellers. Poor girls though, take after both mommy and daddy and struggle with math.
Last night was a great night. It was their "My Prince and Me" dance. Both girls were dressed up from head to toe. They looked beautiful and so grown up. Its made me both sad and happy to see them that way! Shae came home after an hour into the dance saying she was really tired and wanted to go to bed. That's exactly what she did too. Came home, got changed, make up removed and she went straight to bed and slept for 13 hours! Irelynd stayed with Daddy. Shawn said they danced a couple dances but mostly Irelynd hung out with her friends from school! They both had big smiles on their faces when they came home so I know they had a good time.
My baby will be 3 in 14 days. Its gone by way to fast! She is a funny funny girl and she makes me laugh daily! She finally got potty trained about a month ago. We have been trying to get her to want to go for months. Bribing her with going to school, a back pack anything really. She would want the prize and then when we told her she could have it if she want potty in the toilet. She would quickly say " never mind I don't want it". One day last month she told me she had to go potty ran to the toilet and went! Little stinker!!! I quickly took her to the store and had her pick out her candy rewards for going potty. She wanted skittles for going pee and chocolate bunnies for poop. She hasn't worn a diaper since. She even stays dry at night!! It  is wonderful not changing diapers. I don't even have to follow her to the bathroom. She wants to go all by herself. Tells me to " Go away". She tells me that alot though, she is very independent!!
I'm new at this blog thing , need to figure it out, but this is a start.

Welcome to my life with the Lucky 5! Why Lucky 5? Well we all have a 5 in our birthday and there are 5 people in our family!
