Im terrible at this

I totally suck at this blogging thing. I really need to do it more.
Irelynd and Shae started 3rd grade. STarted it with attitudes lol Shae who was always my eager to please daughter became the Onry girl, She was getting in trouble almost everyday. To the point her teacher asked me what was going on. Irelynd was usually my mouthy girl at schoo and at home. Well she still is at home but at school she is doing really well. It been a tough couple weeks but its seems to be improving. Shaes teacher now told me that she isnt getting in trouble for much of anything anymore, mostly just talking. Well she is a girl and I expect that to keep happening :)
Shawn was fired from his job at URS back in June. It made for a tough summer. I babysat 16-18 hours a day and had anywhere from 2-7 kids at the house. We made it though and its brough us closer together some how. Shawn has read the book of mormon now and has changed alot. I think he has become spritual and its been a great blessing in our house!! We are all getting on the same page spiritually. Its a battle and not easy but I see things that make me so happy and almost forget all these hard moments that make my want to pull my hair out.
Shawn did find a job, pays min. wage and no benefits buts its something and he is finishing his application for the prison. I hope he finishes it soon so I can lay off on some of the babysitting and have more time with my kids!!

Posting a few pics of the girls first day of school.

Visit from Grandma and Uncle Dennis

Yesterday Grandma Boothroyd and Uncle Dennis went back to Massachusets. It was a very eventful and fun filled 2 weeks. We went to whitman mission. A place I went to when I was in 4th grade. It has changed alot since then. The hill was alot harder to climb than I remember also. I ran up that hill in 4th grade. I could barely walk up it now! So much fun getting older and heavier :)
We went swimming in the hotel pool Grandma and Uncle stayed in. Mikiah is scary she likes the water so much. She wants to take off her floaties and jump right in with all the rest of us. She does very well though and I  think she is a natural swimmer. I just need to teach her to be careful and water is fun but has rules!

Well I am finally going to do this.Been saying I would for years.I missed writing down so many moments.Lucky us we have many more still to come.
Our twins turned 8 April 5. I look at them and wonder how my 4 pound baby's look so grown up now. They are about to finish the 2nd grade. Its been a tough year for them. The schools program is outrageous and they cram so much into their brains, the kids are overwhelmed. My girls are doing times tables and dividing in second grade. I wasn't doing that till the fifth grade!! They are great readers and spellers. Poor girls though, take after both mommy and daddy and struggle with math.
Last night was a great night. It was their "My Prince and Me" dance. Both girls were dressed up from head to toe. They looked beautiful and so grown up. Its made me both sad and happy to see them that way! Shae came home after an hour into the dance saying she was really tired and wanted to go to bed. That's exactly what she did too. Came home, got changed, make up removed and she went straight to bed and slept for 13 hours! Irelynd stayed with Daddy. Shawn said they danced a couple dances but mostly Irelynd hung out with her friends from school! They both had big smiles on their faces when they came home so I know they had a good time.
My baby will be 3 in 14 days. Its gone by way to fast! She is a funny funny girl and she makes me laugh daily! She finally got potty trained about a month ago. We have been trying to get her to want to go for months. Bribing her with going to school, a back pack anything really. She would want the prize and then when we told her she could have it if she want potty in the toilet. She would quickly say " never mind I don't want it". One day last month she told me she had to go potty ran to the toilet and went! Little stinker!!! I quickly took her to the store and had her pick out her candy rewards for going potty. She wanted skittles for going pee and chocolate bunnies for poop. She hasn't worn a diaper since. She even stays dry at night!! It  is wonderful not changing diapers. I don't even have to follow her to the bathroom. She wants to go all by herself. Tells me to " Go away". She tells me that alot though, she is very independent!!
I'm new at this blog thing , need to figure it out, but this is a start.

Welcome to my life with the Lucky 5! Why Lucky 5? Well we all have a 5 in our birthday and there are 5 people in our family!
